Sandra Tricas-Sauras

Dr Sandra Tricas-Sauras graduated from the University of Navarra (Spain). She obtained her MSc, MRes and PhD from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland). Dr Tricas-Sauras is an academic at the Public Health School of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and is a member of the research centre: Approches sociales de la santé [CRISS-CR5] (Social Approaches to Health-CRISS- CR5). Her lecturing focuses mainly on Psychosocial Aspects of Health and Health and Living Enviroments.  She is the Academic Erasmus Coordinator (VPK)  at Erasmus University College Brussels (EhB), a Dutch speaking institution, where she leads the Transcultural Care Program in English. She isa member of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Research Group (MENT) a collaboration between the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and EhB. She is interested in Reseach Methods (particulary in Mixed-Methodology) Mental health & Wellbeing and Public Health. Some of her areas of research and of particular interest are Migrants, Transcultural care and Innovation in Health.   She is a member of national and international scientific societies and has participated and led several national and international research projects. At the moment she collaborates in a number of European projects such as FYFA ( and ARSIM2CARE (  She is an active traveller both for work and leisure.
